The goal of this project was to create a branding for National CMD Day that fit the branding of HHS.
Background
For this project, I took on the role of project manager and graphic designer.
National CMD Day was an event that was hosted by THUAS's CMD department for the first time in March 2022. It is an event specially organized for instructors of the Communication & Multimedia (CMD) program across the Netherlands. During this event, all instructors across the Netherlands come together to share knowledge and network.
During the research phase of the project, our primary focus was to gather inspiration from the branding and design strategies employed by various types of events, including similar ones like the Dutch Digital Day.
This exploration aimed to glean insights and ideas that could inform and enrich our own branding and design approach.
During the Branding phase, the clients expressed uncertainty regarding the utilization of colors and fonts specific to the CMD Branding, deliberating whether to adhere to established branding guidelines or explore alternative approaches.
To address this, I proposed and implemented three distinct branding concepts to provide the clients with a comprehensive range of options for consideration and decision-making.
During presentation of the 3 branding concepts, the client decided they wanted to stick to the normal CMD theme but stated that they really liked the orange. The graphic design items were delivered in Sprints.
Sprint 1
After that, I started making graphic design content that the client wanted such as an Event flyer, Event schedule, PowerPoint presentation slide, Banner and a Guide book for instructor that wanted to stay in the Hague after the event and explore it a bit.
Sprint 2
In sprint 2, the clients had asked us to design more things such as Name tags and a Signage. We also got commissioned to design Merch for the instructor that came to the event such as Tote Bags and Stickers.
Finally we were tasked to crate a design for Hoodies, these hoodies would have been worn by the students that helped at the event. The design of the Stickers were done by a fellow intern and the design of the Tote Bags were done by me and the intern, we both were in agreement that the design of the tote bag was good enough to use as a design for the hoodies when we found out how much the clients liked the design.
